Student Exhibits Reflect on Roots of Current Events

Nov 30th, 2016

On Friday, December 2, 2016 for Geneva Night Out, the Hobart and William Smith Public History class will be displaying local history posters at the Geneva History Museum. The students' assignment is to present aspects of Geneva history that still have an impact today. Posters will include topics related to Geneva's lakefront, race relations, and the effects of World War II. While college students are accustomed to writing long term papers for their professors, creating a short visual poster for the general public is a new experience. As the Colleges are near the end of the fall semester, these posters will only be on display for a short time, so come out Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. to see them!

Geneva Night Out runs from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Geneva History Museum, 543 South Main Street, Geneva, N.Y. Parking is on the street or in the Trinity Episcopal Church lot across the street.
