In collaboration with the Naples Historical Society and the Naples Library, BVT will present a staged reading of The Hero by Gilbert Emery!
Join us for this family drama set at the close of the first world war and a glimpse into the history of the play and playwright.
The Hero appeared on Broadway in 1921 and will now be appearing on the BVT stage!
Proof of Covid-19 vaccination and masks are required for entry to all events.

Performance and Production Workshop
This workshop will include hands on experiences in acting, set creation, costuming and more: all the elements that go into putting on a show!
And the workshop ends with a full production of a holiday play (starring YOU!) on the BVT stage to help our community ring in the most festive time of year!
The workshop meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons
(4:30-7pm) from October 25th - December 3rd.
Performances December 4th (matinee and evening).
Open to all students, ages 12-19. No previous experience necessary!
All participants must show proof of complete Covid-19 vaccination at the first session, and bring a mask, though it may not be required in all settings.
Tuition: $150
As we transition back indoors, we'd like to make you aware of our updated safety protocols:
Proof of Vaccination: We will require proof of vaccination for entry into our indoor programs. This can be your vaccination card, a photo or copy of your vaccination card, or the NY Excelsior pass.
Masking: You must be masked to enter the building. We will continue to consult best safety practices, health officials, and state mandates to determine if masks may be removed once you are seated.
Other precautions: Please do not attend if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, have tested positive, or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive.
We're happy to announce that we have installed UV lighting units in the heating and air conditioning systems throughout the theater. As air is filtered through the system, these lights kill the Covid-19 virus and keep clean air flowing through the building.
