Sybil Phelps will welcome you at the Wm. Phelps General Store, turn in or pick up your pre-pay tickets, exchange them for you official brochure/ticket suitable for a keep sake and get your map for this adventure in holiday splendor. The houses are all within the Village of Palmyra and many are within walking distance. Is that all you get for your $20 pre-paid admission? Of course not, Historic Palmyra always makes any event full of food, holiday, and a special handmade holiday gift for your Christmas tree. Celebrating with Historic Palmyra’s family, offers families, couples, and all that visit a unique experience. Some of the finest homes in Palmyra are on view; and their owners volunteer to welcome all and offer you their special touch as they guide you through their family home.
This is our 5th year and it is planning to be our biggest and best. This is Frank’s Wine and Liquor’s second year offering a wine tasting along with your tour. Our new, never seen before houses are Eggleston’s/Brooks, Sessions/Vrubel’s, Parson’s/Tomkiewicz; with DeCann/Coyne and Spencer’s returning after 3 years. For information please call (315) 597-6981. We offer school tours with Ticket to Ride (as the only museum complex within Ontario, Wayne and Monroe Counties), research facilities, local, county, state, national and world history. Our primary documents are second to none, and our expertise in history and love of history is amazing. Come on down during the week Tuesday – Thursday 11-4 p.m. for our Alling Gift Shop, museum tours, and information. We are always looking for volunteers and are in need of some specialized carpenters, electricians, and general maintenance. Your annual tax-deductible donations are used well at Historic Palmyra.
