Genesee Country Village & Museum Takes a Spooky Turn

Sep 27th, 2018

Mumford, Sept. 24, 2018— Local tales of the supernatural come to life at Genesee Country Village & Museum during the “Spirits of the Past” tours, from October 17-20. Costumed guides will lead guests by candlelight on 75-minute walking tours through the darker recesses of the Village to experience spine-tingling twists on historical accounts and spooky folklore, as they re-discover the eerie tales that held Western New Yorkers in suspense some 150 years ago. This year the Historic Village is overrun with witches of all types - secret and undisguised, good and evil - as depicted in eight theatrical vignettes.

Tours will begin in the early evening and run until after dark each night from Wednesday, October 17th through the Saturday 20th. Tickets for the tours are $25 each, and new this year guests can make a night of it at the new Spirits Buffet Dinner, available each evening for $10 per person, as well as a cash bar for those in need of liquid courage.

Advanced reservations are required. For availability and specific times, see the museum’s website: https://www.gcv.org/events/spirits-of-the-past-theatrical-tours/
