Dramatic Presentation by Rachel McClinton of Living Voices at the Susan B. Anthony Museum & House

Mar 29th, 2017

Please join us on Thursday, April 6 at 7:00 pm for a dramatic presentation by Rachel McClinton of Living Voices!

This dramatic presentation combines a dynamic solo performance with archival film and sound, turning history into a moving and personal journey!

The central character of this powerful and inspiring drama is Jessie, the daughter of a Political columnist from Tennessee, growing up in Washington, DC, during the early 1900s with dreams of being as important to her father as her younger brother. As tragedy strikes both at home and abroad and the battle for the vote continues to escalate, everyone in Jessie's family must face their own decisions about what they believe is right and the actions they are willing to take on this pivotal issue.

This play engages school age children through adults, and will appeal to history buffs as well as those who know very little about the suffrage movement.
