"Every Sunday we heard our customers ask about serving mimosas during brunch, as well as people stopping for dinner and first asking if we served wine or beer. We listened and opened The Bar sticking with our local theme and carrying local wines and beers. " said Laura Kram, Partner and Manager at The Source at Factory No. 2

The Bar features local wines and beers including mimosas, wine smoothies and beer cocktails. Customers can choose from the following mimosa options: classic, white winter, orange cream, apple cider, and non-alcoholic. Mimosas are also a special feature during Sunday Brunch served from 10am–3pm. Beer selections include Iron Flamingo, Owl's Brew, Southern Tier, Ellicottville, and Saranac, and will feature creations like Apple BeerMosa, Mocha Float, and Cucumber Basil IPA. Wineries currently include JR Dill and Vineyard View. The owners plan to grow options at The Bar, and add additional wines and beers to meet customer needs.

Customers can expect to select from The Bar for lunch and dinner (Wed.–Sat.), or they can come in just for a cocktail with a friend.

The business is now housed in the Hawkes Crystal Glass Factory No. 2, acting as inspiration for the name change, The Source at Factory No. 2. The interior has been artfully restored to its historic value, and the owners have repurposed engraving tables for dining and display surfaces.

Focusing on a fresh menu that serves vegans, vegetarians, meat eaters, and a kids menu designed by kids, The Source offers the largest beverage menu featuring juice and smoothies, and fresh brewed tea. For years the owners have offered decadent handmade chocolate treats, but now customers can try their hand at it at the Make Your Own Chocolate Bar!

The Source is rooted in a long history, beginning with a natural food and cheese shop first opened by Gary Dickerman in 1976 on Market Street, followed by a basketizing business founded by Cynthia Dickerman in 1996, accompanied by a handmade line of bath and body products developed by daughter Laura Kram, which then grew to include a cafe and juice bar inspired by fresh produce and ingredients in 2012, previously located just across the street at 88 W. Market Street. Future plans include a local wine and beer tasting bar. The owners pride themselves on offering a fun and innovative eating and shopping experience for the community.

The Source at Factory No. 2 is currently open Sun.–Tues. from 10am–3pm and Wed.–Sat. from 11am–8pm.
