Hosmer Winery was founded on the principle that great wine starts in the vineyard. Stewardship and farmland preservation were among the original goals upon purchase of the farm in the late 1920’s, and those goals have remained through its fourth generation. Today, when land stewardship, sustainability, and environmental awareness are a global concern, Hosmer Winery continues to be a leader in environmentally friendly wine production. We were certified as a lake-friendly farm through the watershed network in 2008 for positive land and water management practices.
Cameron and Maren Hosmer established the winery in 1985 and were among the pioneers in the blossoming industry. Our tasting room offers a relaxed atmosphere where the Hosmer family and staff strive to make your visit pleasurable and informative. We offer a variety of wines for all tastes, including vibrant varietals and artful blends. Our Rieslings and Cabernet Franc have helped set the benchmark for these varieties in the region, state and across the US. Estate-grown and made in the European tradition, Hosmer wines have consistently earned prestigious medals from wine competitions and have been featured in Wine Spectator, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and the New York Times.
