Since 1993, the Grand Prix Festival of Watkins Glen has celebrated our rich motor racing heritage. This all-day festival brings history to life with exciting events, including the Walk of Fame award ceremony, The Legends Speak historical lecture, Smalley’s Garage Tech Inspection, a Farmers Market, food vendors, and downtown shops hosting outdoor setups.
The highlight of the festival is the SVRA Watkins Glen Grand Prix Tribute, where selected vintage sports cars recreate the magic of the original 6.6-mile road course used in the 1948-52 street races—a true crowd favorite! Additionally, Franklin Street is closed to traffic from 12-8 PM, transforming the heart of downtown into a pedestrian-friendly festival hub filled with activities, cars, and fun for everyone.
Passionate classic car enthusiasts can register for one of seven Stone Bridge Driver events, driving the iconic circuit alongside nearly 700 other participants. Spots are limited to 650 cars and fill up quickly, so don’t wait to join the fun! Click here to register your car!
With live music, wine tasting, family activities, unique vendors, and streets lined with sports cars of all ages, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
The Grand Prix Festival is proudly presented by Chemung Canal Trust Company and produced by Watkins Glen Promotions.
