Get ready for a weekend of laughs and animated fun at the 2nd Annual Duck and Red Octopus Short Funny Animation Festival, happening September 27 and 28 in Cortland and Homer! Hosted by the world-renowned Ake Gallery, this year’s festival is set to be bigger and better than ever.

The fun kicks off on Friday, September 27 at 6 p.m. with an opening reception, followed by a special concert featuring SpongeBob himself, Tom Kenny, and his 13-piece rock-n-soul band, the Hi Seas, at the Center for the Arts in Homer, NY.

On Saturday, September 28, the action moves to the iconic Ake Gallery in Cortland, where you can catch the finalists’ films, witness the presentation of awards, and dive into several exciting panels. Don’t miss the Animation Industry Panel featuring a star-studded lineup: Tom Kenny, the sole Voice Director of Paramount’s SpongeBob-iverse and Netflix’s Exploding Kittens, Peter Hannan, Creator of Nickelodeon’s CatDog, Gene Grillo, Emmy Award-winning Writer of Teen Titans Go, Kung Fu Panda, and Johnny Bravo, Martin Olson, Writer and Producer of Phineas and Ferb, Danny Giovannini, Writer for SpongeBob SquarePants and its spinoff shows, and festival Co-Chairman and SpongeBob Producer, Peter Hartsock.
