South Bristol Cultural Center Will Host Artist William Schlegel
for Naples Open Studio Trail

Canandaigua, NY (September 24, 2007) – South Bristol Cultural Center is pleased to host Naples artist William Schlegel from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 6th and Sunday, October 7th. Schlegel’s life-like wood carvings are created primarily with a chainsaw, using black walnut, butternut, and catalpa trees. The artist will be doing demos throughout the weekend. Each demo will last for about thirty minutes with a fifteen minute break between demos. The first demo begins at 11:00 AM and the last demo will take place at 4:00 PM. Schlegel will have about 8-12 carvings available for sale at South Bristol Cultural Center. This event is free and open to the public.

The Sixth Annual Naples Open Studio Trail features twenty three stops this year. Trail goers are encouraged to start at the South Bristol Cultural Center to pick up a map and visit the Susanne Gardner Kennedy Gallery which contains the work of over 100 Finger Lakes Region artists, including many who are on the trail.

Take a ride and discover the friendly, comfortable studios of local artists and the scenic beauty of the Finger Lakes area in vibrant fall color. You will understand why so many artists are inspired by these hills. Discover unique treasures, each with its own story heard from the creator.
