Hosmer Winery Delighted by Consistent Wins
Hosmer Rieslings received rave reviews from the Wine Spectator this March 2008.

Ovid, NY (April 21, 2008) – Hosmer wines have received high ratings in both the Wine Spectator and the Finger Lakes International Eastern Wine Competition. The newly released 2007 Riesling earned Gold in the Finger Lakes International Eastern Wine Competition –the first big win for Hosmer Winery’s new Winemaker, Aaron Rosien. More impressively, out of 20 Finger Lakes Rieslings that were rated by the Wine Spectator recently, three from Hosmer received great scores.

The 2006 Riesling rated an “87”, 2006 Vintner’s Reserve Riesling rated an “86” and the 2006 Dry Riesling received an “85”. Sales Manager, Virginia Graber of Hosmer was very pleased with the outcome saying, “We are thrilled with our recent results and our overall history in the Wine Spectator. Every Riesling we have produced from 2002 to the present has earned a rating of no less than an “85”. These scores signify that these are considered “wines with special qualities” by the highly regarded publication.”
