Bass Pro Shops Spring Fishing Classic Sponsored By Toyota Trucks
February 29 - March 16: “all new” event extended to run 3 weekends this year
Auburn, NY (February 14, 2008) – Anglers from allover New York and the Northeast are impatiently awaiting the start of the Bass Pro Shops 2008 Spring Fishing Classic sponsored by Toyota Trucks. The “all new” event this year has been expanded and will run for a total of 17 days that includes 3 fun filled weekends of fishing and outdoor pleasures. Fishermen will receive the best sale prices of the year and will be able to purchase the newest fishing tackle around.
*For the entire 17-day show, Toyota Trucks will have its line-up of full and mid-size trucks out front for display. Children and women anglers can fish all 3 of the first days (February 29 5-9. March 1 & 2 10 am – 5 pm) in the Toyota Trucks Live Trout Pond and win a Bass Pro Shops gift card for just catching a fish.
*Antique Lure Collector Steve Hays will be on board for the first 3 days to show a quarter of a million dollars of antique fishing tackle and to appraise tackle brought in by customers as well.
*Mustad Pro Walleye angler Scott Fairbairn will be at the store on Saturday, March 1 to give two seminars at the fish tank and to answer angler’s questions.
*Bass Pro Shops Canadian TV Angler Dave Mercer will be at the store on Sunday, March 2 for a noon seminar and to answer fishing questions
*Bass Pro Shops and Tracker Marine Pros Bill Alexander, Captain Tony Buffa, Joe Matt, George Fiorille along with other regional fishing experts will be doing informative tank seminars during all 3 weekends
*March 6 – March 9 will be the Reel Trade In Program. Donate a working reel to local kids groups and receive a coupon for money off of your new reel.
*Tracker Marine inside boat shows March 6-9 and the 14-16.

*National Wild Turkey Federation NY State Calling Championship March 9
