A fundraiser to benefit the E. John Gavras Center
Auburn, NY (December 21, 2007) – The E.John Gavras Center provides educational, therapeutic, OMRDD, and respite care to individuals with special needs in Cayuga, Onondaga, Tompkins and Wayne Counties.
 The Auburn Rotary Club is pleased to bring Joey & Maria's Comedy Wedding back to the Springside Inn on FRIDAY, JANUARY 11, 2008 for a performance to benefit the E. John Gavras Center, a leading advocate and provider of services to those with special needs in the community.
Tickets to the performance are $45.00 and everyone is invited (even if you're not a relative!). The Ticket Price includes dinner, the show, all taxes and gratuity and a GREAT TIME!
JOEY AND MARIA'S COMEDY WEDDING has kept audiences throughout New York State captivated with the hilarious antics at the wedding of Guisseppe Antonio "Joey" Gnocchi and Maria Angelina Cavatelli. You are introduced to the "loving couple", as Joey and Maria join hands at the altar. The ceremony is filled with one-liners you'll want to remember! You may hear a "forgeta 'bout it" or a "youz guys" as Joey and Maria exchange their vows.
Throughout the reception, Joey, Maria, and their families will come to your table to greet and gossip with their long-time friends. Momma Nonna Cavatelli might squeeze your cheek and then talk to you about everyone in the old neighborhood. Maid of Honor, Tina Tubettini, who is also a hairdresser just might give you some beauty tips. The ushers always have some interesting project to discuss. And watch out to what happens when Joey's ex-girlfriend, Viola Vemicelli tries to crash the reception.
The audience is encouraged to participate while the cast sits at tables, flirts, and discos on the dance floor - truly turning the event into the best wedding you've ever attended!
