The Corning-Painted Post Historical Society is offering a Historical
Weekend trip to Mount Vernon and Old Town Alexandria

Corning (January 11, 2008) – The Corning-Painted Post Historical Society is offering a Historical Weekend trip to Mount Vernon and Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, from May 2 – 5, 2008.

An informational meeting will be held on January 23 at 7 p.m., at the historical society’s offices, 73 West Pulteney St., Corning. All are welcome and signups for non-members will begin February 8.

The trip itinerary includes bus transportation, hotel accommodations for three nights in Old Town Alexandria, tours of Mount Vernon (including its gristmill and distillery), a tour of Old Town Alexandria, dinner at Gadsby’s Tavern (frequented by George Washington), some additional meals and more!
