Class Air Act Sport Helicopter at Frontenac Point Vineyard - Estate Winery October 19, 20, 26 and 27

The Class Air Act Helicopter will be back at Frontenac Point Vineyard - Estate Winery (Rte 89, 10 miles north of Ithaca) on October 19, 20, 26 and 27, weather dependent.  This sport helicopter (takes 1-3 passengers at a time) cannot fly in rain or very windy conditions.  Cost is TBD and based on time in the air.  We provide only the landing space so if people call the winery 607-387-9619 on the 19th around 11 a.m. we should have more details from the company to share with you.  Or just drive down the roadwa...

Hammondsport, New York – October 11, 2013 –  New York Times wine writer, Eric Asimov recently completed a tasting of Rieslings from top Finger Lakes producers and listed the Dr. Frank 2012 Dry Riesling as the number one Riesling in his article, “In the Finger Lakes, Devotion to Riesling Shows”.

Finger Lakes Trail and the Interloken Trail in the Finger Lakes National Forest are OPEN

The Finger Lakes Trail and the Interloken Trail in the Finger Lakes National Forest are OPEN to the public. 

Furthermore, the Schuyler County Sheriff informed me that there is NO CLOSURE to the National Forest for recreational use, and that the only closure is that of the District Ranger Station.  The Sheriff is not ticketing parked cars in proper parking areas, nor anyone else using the Finger Lakes Trail system.  As always, all emergencies in the Finger Lakes National Forest should be reported to the Sc...
